Terms & Conditions

Draft for review. This page is a business-website draft prepared for Delightie Crochet, not legal advice. Please review, complete the bracketed placeholders, and consider having it checked before publishing.
These terms apply to purchases made through the Delightie Crochet website and to lessons and workshops provided by Delightie Crochet ("I", "me"), operated by Neslihan in British Columbia, Canada. By purchasing a lesson you agree to these terms.
1. Services
- Delightie Crochet offers private 1:1 online crochet lessons, multi-lesson programs, and occasional in-person workshops.
- Lessons are educational services delivered live over video call at a mutually agreed time. They are not a subscription and there are no recurring charges.
- Lesson content is adapted to each student. Outcomes depend on practice and individual pace; no specific result is guaranteed.
2. Pricing and payment
- All prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD).
- Applicable taxes, if any, are calculated and shown at checkout. [Confirm whether you are required to collect GST/PST — see docs/INTEGRATIONS.md.]
- Payment is due in full at the time of purchase and is processed by a third-party payment provider ([PAYMENT PROVIDER — e.g. Stripe]). Card details are handled by the provider and are never stored by this website.
- A lesson time is only reserved once payment has been completed.
3. Booking, rescheduling and cancellation
- After payment you will be invited to choose a lesson time. Multi-lesson programs require one booking per lesson.
- Rescheduling, cancellations, no-shows and refunds are governed by the Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy, which forms part of these terms.
4. What you need
- Students provide their own supplies (hook, yarn, scissors, tapestry needle) and a device with a camera, microphone and a stable internet connection.
- You are responsible for using patterns you are legally entitled to use. Lessons may help you understand and work through a pattern but do not include copies of third-party patterns.
5. Lesson conduct and recordings
- Lessons are held in a respectful, encouraging environment. I reserve the right to end a lesson without refund in the event of abusive behaviour.
- Lessons are not recorded unless both parties agree in advance. Any materials I share with you (notes, diagrams, summaries) are for your personal use and may not be resold or redistributed.
6. Age
- Purchases must be made by an adult (18+). Lessons for younger learners may be arranged with a parent or guardian present — please contact me first.
7. Intellectual property
- Website content, lesson materials, and original designs remain the property of Delightie Crochet. Items you make during lessons are yours to keep, gift or sell.
8. Liability
- Crochet involves hooks, scissors and small parts. Please take care, particularly around children and pets. To the extent permitted by law, Delightie Crochet is not liable for injury or loss arising from the use of tools and materials during or after lessons.
- To the extent permitted by applicable law, my total liability for any claim relating to a purchase is limited to the amount paid for that purchase.
9. Website and third-party services
- Payment, scheduling and email services are provided by third parties and are subject to their own terms. Links to Instagram and other external sites are provided for convenience.
- I may update lessons, prices and these terms from time to time. Changes apply to purchases made after the change is published.
10. Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. [Confirm with a professional if needed.]
