What the two lessons cover

  • Lesson 1 — Crochet foundations and essential stitches
  • Lesson 2 — Your first simple project, practice, and troubleshooting

Perfect for complete beginners who want more than a one-time introduction.

What you'll need

  • A crochet hook (a 5 mm / H-8 hook is a great all-rounder for beginners)
  • Light-coloured, medium-weight (worsted / #4) yarn — it makes stitches easier to see
  • Scissors
  • A tapestry (yarn) needle
  • A device with a camera and a stable internet connection

Don't have supplies yet? Any craft store or dollar store carries the basics. Kits will be available from Delightie Crochet in the future.

How the lesson works

  • Lessons are private, 1:1, and held online over video call.

  3. You receive a booking confirmation with your video-call link and a short supplies checklist.
  4. A reminder arrives the day before your lesson.
  5. After the lesson you get a short follow-up with notes and next steps.

Questions about Crochet Starter

How far apart should the two lessons be?

About a week apart works well — it leaves time to practise between lessons without forgetting what you learned. You choose both dates after payment.

What will my first project be?

Something small and satisfying that suits your interests — for example a simple coaster, a small square, or a headband. We'll decide together in lesson one.
